Welcome to UQ’s enterprise bargaining site, where you’ll find up-to-date information about UQ’s progress in developing our new enterprise agreements.

At UQ, we recognise that we are only able to successfully deliver excellence in research and teaching because of the hard work of our almost 7000 academic and professional staff.

Our aims

UQ’s approach to negotiating a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement will be sensible and reasonable, as we strive toward an agreement that secures our continued success.

We aim to:

  • use continued and improved performance to secure our staff’s employment to the greatest extent possible
  • recognise good performance and allow for the timely and fair management of under-performance
  • support a workplace where staff can develop, prosper and be treated fairly and respectfully, while always offering the highest standard of service to our students, partners, alumni, other stakeholders, and the community
  • negotiate an agreement that describes benefits clearly and concisely so that staff can rely on it for clarity and guidance
  • remove from the agreement any detailed prescription, repetition, and provisions that slow down UQ’s academic and operational progress.
