The meeting approved in principle a revised clause on professional staff workloads, which emphasises the need for supervisors to actively manage the workloads of their staff. A clause to provide for additional categories of fixed-term employment (in situations of organisational change, or where there is a likelihood of a decrease in enrolments) is still under discussion.

 Simplified clauses on misconduct/serious misconduct, and on committees of review, are still being considered. Discussions are continuing on Indigenous employment (with UQ proposing to commit to active measures to improve UQ’s staff numbers in this area), parental leave and casual academic marking. The unions proposed some changes to the outsourcing clause, but these are still being considered by UQ.
